We often hear about MLM (Multi Level Marketing) or Network Marketing, this particular business model that seems so different from the traditional business model.
This is a method where independent sellers act as distributors of goods and services and are encouraged to build and manage their own sales force, by recruiting and training other independent sellers: so-
called direct selling!
This is an industry that has emerged as a result of the various difficulties encountered in traditional distribution systems, pointing to their administrative burden and overestimated cost.
It is little known in Tunisia, despite the fact that globally, it has a perfectly legal and legitimate sales system, far superior to the music industry, comparable to that of video games, and one of the few sectors that did not experience the crisis.
The MLM derives its effectiveness from its ability to create employment for all the population, on an equal footing and without any financial risks, in an environment marked by ever deepening social segregation, an ever-increasing rate of unemployment, despair affecting the poorest and an ever-threatening health crisis.
Indeed, it offers independent business opportunities to all who aspire to social notoriety, financial freedom, and wellbeing.
Moreover, MLM is not only about its lucrative dimension, it transmits values, shows that dreams are legitimate, that anything is possible and that every individual is capable of change and improvement.
Being illiterate, from disadvantaged backgrounds or even with a disability, MLM is there to prove that with a lot of perseverance, courage and passion one can access a perfect recipe for happiness, each of which has a definition: Money, Recognition, Prestige, Power, Influence or even Love.
On Saturday 03 December 2022, we had the opportunity to examine more closely the direct selling activity and to better understand the different approaches to the MLM domain through a conference organized by the first Tunisian and Arab direct selling brand and leader No. 1 of direct selling in Tunisia: ARVEA Nature.
The meeting was held under the title “2023 starts now!” where around 500 partners gathered in the Colisée hall in the heart of the capital to share their successes and prepare the best conditions for a new year.
When one looks for the origin of this whole spirit of belonging, dedication and involvement, one finds a founder, Mr. Sadok LARIBI, who, despite his young age, has managed to see, believe and create an entity where he invites all humans, regardless of their origins and social strata, to forge a mentality of abundance, a spirit of win and why not create a life tailored to their needs.
Through an interactive and motivating exchange lasting around five hours, LARIBI showed how ARVEA Nature is leveraging its business model, MLM, and has proven that all of its promises are real and that there are no limits to genuine will.
In particular, he opened his speech with his ultimate recognition of the unconditional trust of his partners and the administration, adding a brief overview of the brand’s achievements and the resources it has put in place since its creation and during the nine years of its existence.
He also dealt with various characteristics of the MLM profession by pointing out some difficulties of use and misunderstanding in this field, which is still subject to many misunderstandings.
In this sense, the founder revealed that any success begins with a clear vision of what one wants to do and that the phase of achievement is determined through work that always pays.
He added that seeing and listening to people speak first of their dreams, then of their will, then of their achievements and finally of their successes remains crucial to illuminating many other lives.
Everyone will realize that they have a right to the same chances of flight, to the same power of change, or even to a better human condition. This is the essence of MLM.
Finally, the CEO unveiled a series of resolutions to mark the start of the new year 2023.
Product innovation and the implementation of a new “Customer Experience” training were highlighted in particular through an intervention by Training Consultant Ms Myriam AMMAR and Product Experts.
In addition to the formulation, production and distribution of products, ARVEA Nature is focusing on training,
a fundamental challenge that distinguishes it from its competitors, through its ARVEA Academy program, a pioneer on the African continent.
It is a training course exclusively dedicated to the ARVEA network and the result of various collaborations with renowned experts, some of whom were present at the conference and wanted to testify to the richness of their ARVEA experience, both at human and pedagogical level.
In conclusion, the brand reserved the last part of the conference for a Q&A exchange where ARVEA managers took the floor to share their different experiences.
It is to its credit that ARVEA Nature attaches such great importance to listening and communicating with its various partners.
What we can learn from this magnificent private initiative by the brand ARVEA Nature is that the MLM has the power to detect real potentials hidden in silence and darkness.
It offers a lifeline for the needy but also offers an alternative for the most ambitious to improve.
